Bud Hierlihy

Bud Hierlihy, born and raised in downtown Bellaire, attended and graduated from Bellaire Public Schools. As a native of Bellaire, Bud was born into the building business.

After serving in the United States Army Corp of Engineers, along with attending several colleges, he formed his own building business. Bud then served as general manager of the Vacation Properties Network Building Division for fifteen years. After retirement, Bud decided to act as an Associate Broker for Vacation Properties Network, specializing in the sale of waterfront properties and the construction and sales of single family homes.

Bud is a member of Antrim, Charlevoix, Kalkaska Board of Realtors, in which he has served as a past president. He is also a member of the HBA of the Grand Traverse area, and has enjoyed being a past president of this organization and of the Bellaire Board of Education. Presently, he is commander of American Legion Post 247.

Bud is a resident of Schuss Mountain, where he has lived with his wife, Irma, for 22 years. They have two children; a daughter living in Rockford, Michigan, and a son living in Manassas, Virginia. They also boast of five grand children.
